Ambrosia was our first experience in Martinique. We stayed a week and loved it. First, all the properties in Martinique are a short golf cart drive from access to the beach. Second, our family of 7 each had their own bed, which was a big deal. Third, the AC was cool all day and night. Fourth, there were a few items not provided that we needed: beach towels (bath towels provided), toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher pods, laundry detergent, and kitchen staples for cooking. Fifth, there is an awesome fresh seafood market down the street for fresh shrimp and Sassy Pizza is pretty close too. Finally, we would 100% stay here again.

Truly Wonderful Vacation

As long-time Martinique on the Gulf vacationers but first-time Ambrosia visitors, we were not certain what to expect but greatly impressed with the home and clarity of expectations. Pictures do not do the home justice with the spaciousness, enclosed porches, and backyard patio. We were two families with children between the ages of 18 and 2. The master bedroom with the trundle bed was perfect for the family with the two youngest children. The golf cart was well-maintained. The propane tank was empty on the grill but replaced with a full tank within 30 minutes of calling the office. Beds were comfortable, garage had a broad collection of beach gear including a wagon and tents. The development is always relaxing and welcoming as well as private and typically very quiet. We highly recommend Ambrosia if you are looking for a place to recharge.

We rented the Ambrosia House which was absolutely perfect for our needs. Beautiful decor, scrupulously clean and well-appointed. Comfy beds and very nice, clean furniture. Great place to relax.

A Glorious Week in the Gulf

We had a wonderful time. The weather was perfect and Ambrosia was perfectly suited for our family. We loved the outside porches off our bedrooms and the beds were perfectly suited to our needs. The kitchen was well stocked but definitely showed signs of wear. The living area and dining room were also very nice. The golf cart definitely showed signs of wear with most of the stitching loose around the back cushions. However, it worked well and we had a wonderful time.

Ambrosia is a good house. Clean and cute. The doors don’t seal well so we had a lot of mosquitoes in the house. It was pet friendly (isn’t anymore) so we were able to bring our two pound chihuahua with us. The driveway has an odd angle but that’s the only thing I can think of! lol Otherwise, GREAT! Golf cart ran well; close to the pool. No complaints.

We had a great time staying in Ambrosia! It was wonderful that we could have our 2 dogs with us at the beach for 2 months! Maintenance staff, Ken and Terry were excellent. We had visited Martinique on the Gulf many times so were so excited to return. Will see you again!

We loved the atmosphere at Martinique and being able to get two houses next to each other. Having one pet friendly was a plus also! We liked the privacy and security on the property and will definitely be back! The kids enjoyed being able to have more freedom to ride bikes and swim in the pools.

We loved this home at Martinique and were pleasantly surprised by the kindness of all the staff. Our home was pet friendly which we appreciated for our dog and the golf cart was super convenient getting back and forth to the pool/hot tub. The view of the Nature Preserve from this home was gorgeous and peaceful.

House needs some updates

We love Martinique but this particular house needs some updates. Golf cart brakes need fixed, broken Patio chairs in back, beach wagon not usable, bike tires flat, overall unit just needed some updates compared to the other house we had stayed in previously.. The office staff and Maintenance are very friendly and helpful.The Martinique is very well taken of and is beautiful and will stay here anytime we are in Gulf Shores.

Our vacation home was ‘Ambrosia’. It was spacious enough for 5 adults and 3 kids. It was beautifully furnished and very clean. Our rental included a golf cart, so we made a lot of trips to the pool and then walked to the beautiful beach. It was a wonderful place to spend time with family.

It has been over 10 years since we all celebrated Christmas together. As soon as we walked through the door we felt at home. We were amazed by the size of the rental. The house was equipped with everything we needed to cook a Christmas feast for 10. We even set up a freshly cut Christmas tree to the sounds of holiday music playing on the sound system that played throughout the entire house. Our new found treasure. We loved staying at Martinique. Ambrosia was perfect for our family, and we have wonderful memories of our week there. It is close enough to one of the pools for even the smaller children to walk, and of course they loved the golf cart rides to the beach and second pool.
