A Get-A-Way Week at the Beach

I am a frequent visitor at Martinque. This time we stayed in a condo overlooking the beach which was perfect. The beach and condo was very clean and the condo was in a great location to walk to the pool or beach. Not happy with the fees we are charged for parking cars. $55 Plus tax for each car is ridiculous. They should include that fee in the cost of the unit rather than charge for parking. It just doesn’t sit right we me and my guest.

This has been the 4th time we have stayed at the resort and enjoyed the condo very much. The condo was in great shape and was stocked well for a two bedroom. The weather was perfect but the ocean had a little too much unwanted wildlife to enjoy in terms of jellyfish and shark sightings. We really enjoy how you can stay here at anytime of the year and feel like you have a nice beach all to yourself (especially when you set up on the wildlife preserve part) and have some nice amenities such as two awesome pools and a decent enough gym.

This unit was terrific- first use of this particular one in a number of years. There was a water problem in the master bath (noticed in the second floor unit immediately below), however maintenance staff responded promptly and professionally. Overall, another wonderful visit to Martinique!

The unit was spacious and convenient. Comfort was in mind when designing. Bring your own pillows unless you enjoy sleeping on hard ones. Kitchen and dining supplies ample, but make sure you have your own dish supplies as only one dishwasher tablet was given. Same for bathing supplies because only soap bars are there. Just one laundry tablet as well. Check in and out can all be done at the room. No need to stop at the front desk. Loved our stay and would definitely use the unit again. The grandson says the TV was wonderful because he could choose Netflix.

This condo is beautifully decorated, very clean, quiet, and equipped with everything we needed. The view of the Gulf is awesome and it has great access to the beach. Great place to stay. You won’t be disappointed!

This place was gorgeous.. loved the community and the condos. The pool area was so tropical and the walk down to the beach was lengthy but lovely. My overall impression was great. You do need to be able to walk a distance to get back and forth. Another critique would be to provide a basic tension rode and a few sheets to hang up between the sink/ closet area and the shower/toilet area. As a family if someone was using the bathroom or showering , you didn’t have access to the sink or closet. A close family with young’s children would be fine but we had extended family and older teens. It would be an option to have just kept in the closet for folks to use if they wanted.
I also feel that we as the customer should have only been expected to place our trash in bags outside the room door on departure not take them all the way down to the dumpsters. Just an opinion there.

We have come for 2 months for several years, but this is the first time we have stayed in 305 West. We found this unit to be among the best although we have loved all of them. Good views, great convenience and very freshly painted. We only had one complaint, which was the drapes in the guest bedroom. They were very thin sheers and did little to block out light from the lights from the outside walk and made it almost impossible for our guests to sleep. We hope those will be replaced before next year as we have booked this unit for next year.

Wonderful! The condo was perfect. Very clean, quiet, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Beautiful view of the Gulf. The weather did not cooperate fully with us but the indoor pool was a big hit with the grands. So much to do and see there.

This is our second year to stay at Martinique and we love the area. 305W is a great unit with beautiful views of the beach and gulf. Our only complaint was the mosquitos. They were all in our unit upon arrival. It was so bad by the second night that we actually sprayed bug spray on us before going to bed. My 7 year old was bitten 25 times the first night. We had never seen anything like it.

Fall Break At The Beach With Our Grandson

We made reservations for our grandson's Fall Break Trip in early July and there were a fairly limited number of units to choose. Regardless, we found 305 West to be ideal with beach view, close to the pool, and nicely furnished. Got a text on the day of arrival with door code although we were emailed and texted about the codes being for Garage, gates, and condo. It was confusing when we just got one code which was for the condo and it worked ok. First surprise was a master bathroom with jet tub and great shower but zero towels hanging up and only two bath towels, two wash cloths, and a bathmat all of which were under the sink. Really? We later found four bath towels, two hand towels, and two wash rags in the small bathroom. Second surprise was no extra trash bags for any trash can. Really? Day 3 went to the office to ask for more bags and was told "We give you a complimentary first bag, you have to supply the rest." This was blithely spoken with no emotion. I said that I was surprised and that there was no warning about that in anything I received. The staff in the office said she would give me two additional bags "this time". I felt like I was being scolded in the 3rd grade, but I am in my 70's. So, she was a very nice person basically and took care of us, but documentation on the website, emails or text should mention these things in my opinion. Basically the written documentation in the unit, on the web site, and in emails you receive seems good and well thought out but is actually lacking information you need and is sometimes inaccurate. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay and thought the facilities we well maintained and nicely done. It's a quiet property with nice beach and chair service although nothing on website about chair service. See what I mean?

We really enjoyed our stay in 305 West. This is an amazing condo and just perfect for us. The views of the beach are amazing. Proximity to the pool was perfect. We did not hear much noise from the pool and even less when the windows and patio door are closed. Everything was very clean, comfortable, and quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful and answered all our questions. We could not have asked for a better place to enjoy our ten-year wedding anniversary. The condo has beach chairs stored in the balcony closet. There were plenty of linens. We did bring an extra skillet but otherwise, the condo has all the cooking utensils and cookware we needed to enjoy our week-long stay. No problems adjusting the thermostat. This was truly a relaxing and peaceful place to stay. Just like a home away from home! No doubt - we will visit again.

Great views, very quite an peace an great access to the beach. The beach was great not crowded, the pool an hot tube was very convenient. Just a short drive into town for shopping or other activities. When we come back to gulf shores we will definitely stay again.

Simply great. Love the beach in Jan. Nice and quiet; but next time, I’ll reserve for longer stay!
Two glitches:
1- tv in master bedroom did not work.
2-no keurig!

Making reservations was really easy! The reminder emails were helpful and made sure there were no unanswered questions. Check in was easy as was check out. Unit was clean and exactly as described. We stayed there 10 years ago and it was as peaceful this time as it was then. The grounds are beautiful. Will be making this a yearly trip, for sure!

overall experience was good. When we checked in the young lady was pleasant helpful and very efficient. On the day we checked out the clean up crew was knocking on the door 50 minutes before check out time asking when we were leaving. When I turned in the keys our other couple were leaving shortly behind and the girl at the front office told me "you have 15 min to get them out or you are going to be charged a late checkout fee and she was completely unprofessional in her tone and demeanor, for 15 min give me a break. Oh and buy the way my bed slats were broken and replace some light bulbs.

It affords the casual beach experience in the day, yet the sensual "Caribbean" luxury and atmosphere at a moment's desire for the evening coupled with the elegance of old new Orleans.
