Coastal Arts Center of Orange Beach
The Coastal Arts Center of Orange Beach is a 10,000-square-foot facility featuring gallery space, a hot glass blowing studio, clay studio, and a variety of adult art classes. The Coastal Arts Center's gallery has a rotating selection of local artists' work. You'll find watercolor, pottery, painting, photography, textiles, sculptures, and more. The grounds are also worth a visit.
Located right along Wolf Bay, the Coastal Arts Center is an accessible and scenic setting for a picnic or just to relax.
The art center originally opened up in a 1923 boarding-style hotel, which was also the city's first hotel. The building was later torn down due to structural damage, and in 2015 the new facility opened its doors. You can find historical elements of the building, such as wood flooring, doors, columns, and windows, in the current gallery.
